Yvonne DeBruyne has been an educator for over 20 years holding positions as an Education Assistant, teacher, Student Achievement Officer and Assessment Lead. She has also taught at the post-secondary level for various colleges in Indigenous Studies. Having worked in both public and private education sectors she has extensive knowledge of provincial curriculum, special education as well as working with Indigenous students. Her language acquisition journey began as she was on her journey to reclaiming her identity and has led her to teaching Anishinabemowin with the Lakehead Public School Board. Being a lifelong learner, she challenges herself daily and is continually adding to her bundle.
