Felipe has over two decades of teaching experience in both the UK and Canada. In his youth he studied classical guitar and bossa nova in his home country Brazil, and performed professionally in Rio de Janeiro until moving to London, England where he continued to take private lessons, perform and teach music. Felipe moved to Canada to complete his BFA in music at York University. Felipe has played professionally in Brazil, the UK, and Canada. Highlights of his career include performances being covered in the national Brazilian Newspaper ‘O Globo,’ and appearing on an album featured on JazzFM’s Jazzology program. He has worked as a side man in numerous projects. Felipe has studied many styles of music, but is especially fond of the music of his youth – rock, blues, pop, bossa nova, samba and latin jazz. Lessons are available in English and Portuguese.
