Cheryl Ugray is from Bearskin Lake First Nation, located within the Treaty Nine territory. She completed her B.A. and Master of Education from Lakehead University, focusing on Indigenous Education. She has been an educator for 21 years and has worked in various capacities within Indigenous Education in Ontario and Alberta. Since 2020, she has been the Special Education Coordinator for the Matawa Education and Care Centre with a staff of four Special Education Resource Teachers (SERT) and four Educational Assistants (EA).
